How to spend your free time? Simply. Around the village there are several marked routes for cyclists or tourists. You will be captivated by the Tatra hills, meadows and forests, where you can pick berries and mushrooms during an easy walk. In the summer, bathe in the nearby Kaďa thermal spring or have fun in Tatralandia. Tourists write the Castle and Arboretum in Liptovský Hrádok, the Čierny Váh reservoir, Park Mini Slovensko, Mincovníčkovo, Stanišovská cave, Háj Nicovô or Open air museum in Pribylina on their list of places. In winter, skiing is great in Čertovica, or in Jasná Nízka Tatry.



Kaďa thermal spring


Visit the popular natural wellness in the Kaďa Liptovský Ján Thermal Spring. This natural gem is located right in the heart of Liptov, in the popular tourist village of Liptovský Ján. The water temperature here ranges from 20-24 °C and you can use its beneficial power completely free of charge. It acts as a medicine for skin diseases, musculoskeletal system and many others. The area of ​​the Kaďa Thermal Spring is located at the end of the village and the Štiavnica stream flows along its edge. Both children and adults will enjoy it here. This is one of the many thermal springs that spring up in this village. The strongest spring rises in a circular crater with a gravel bottom, which is protected by limestone cliffs. At first, the water will seem lukewarm, even cold. After a while, however, you will feel the gentle stinging of sulfurous bubbles on your skin and it will be pleasantly bloodstained. The spring will show you its strength and healing effects on tissues and joints. However, do not stay in it for too long, the recommended treatment time is 20 minutes.


Open-air museum Pribylina

The village faithfully depicts the life of our grandmothers from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Villages in Liptov with the privileges and rights of small towns were once characterized by the arrangement of dwellings, such as you will find here. The vast majority of houses come from the area that was flooded by the Liptovská Mara dam. These are original copies with original elements and sensitively displayed details.


Park Mini Slovakia

Mini Slovakia is a significant name, because here, on a relatively small area, you can find up to 23 models of various Slovak cultural monuments in a scale of 1:25. Everything is worked out in detail, fine-tuned, and the mini replicas will absorb you so much that you will want to shrink down and drink have a cup of tea with the manor at Bojnice Castle, or fight at Strečno Castle. You can also find models of monuments such as the Town Hall in Levoča, the Town Tower in Trnava, the Renaissance Bell Tower in Kežmark, the Vlkolínec Open-Air Museum and many others. There are also models of both churches from Liptovský Ján, which you can subsequently admire in real size while walking through the village.


Ski Center Jasná Low Tatras

Magnificence. This is exactly what comes to your mind when you first look at the massive ski resort, which has up to 45 km of pistes. You park your car in one of the many high-capacity parking lots and go get your tickets. Cash registers are the first thing you come into contact with, and they are exactly located on the White Pilgrimage.

In addition to them, you will find a disco, bars, and restaurants here. There are all kinds of hotels and guest houses right on the slope of the White Pilgrimage. You can look forward to typical mountain architecture and a pleasant environment. Behind your windows you will see the cable car and crowds of satisfied skiers.


Tatralandia

Are you looking for relaxation, distraction, adventure and fun, or holiday fun for children? Visit Tatralandia - the largest water area with accommodation in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland.

Aquapark offers the possibility to use pools with thermal water all year round. In case of bad weather, it is possible to use indoor swimming pools with many water attractions such as water beds, water swing, massage jets, or children's slides. A children's pool with attractions awaits children. Experienced animators will provide entertainment. It goes without saying that additional services such as free sunbeds, changing rooms and changing rooms, or asphalted parking areas.


Stanisovská cave

Stanišovská cave is the only cave in Liptov that is accessible all year round. You will find it in the Low Tatras, in the magical Jánská valley at the end of the village of Liptovský Ján. You can get here from the village on foot, about a 60-minute walk, or by car or bicycle. You can park right in front of the cave, which makes it really easy to access.

The cave is an ideal place for exploring underground places, especially for families with children, seniors and beginner tourists. The terrain is not difficult and the guide interestingly explains various points of interest from history and speleology. The Stanišovská cave is open to visitors every day of the year, entrances are possible from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tour lasts approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Cycle tour Svidovské sedlo

Lovers of active movement will definitely be interested in the Svidovské sedlo Cycle Tour, where you will overcome a total of almost 500 meters in height and a route of almost 12 km. You will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the ridge of the Low Tatras. You will go by bike to the Jánská dolina, which will draw you into another world with its picturesque nooks and crannies. A world where you will only perceive the fresh air hitting your face and the sounds of nature. In Liptovský Ján, you can still refresh yourself with a sip of healthy water at the Kaďa Liptovský Ján Thermal Spring and go for a new experience along the marked cycling trail. You will reach the top after about an hour of pedaling.
